Activity Rationale and Purpose

In the United States, colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cause of new cancer cases and cancer-related deaths in both men and women, and new therapies are under clinical evaluation. This educational activity provides an update on the current status of CRC, including epidemiology, early detection, and survival trends. The latest chemotherapeutic advances in CRC are addressed, as well as new infusional regimens. The overall purpose is to provide oncology professionals with information on state-of-the-art treatment for CRC to assist them in educating, supporting, and caring for patients with this disease.
